India opener Pratika Rawal made her T20I debut against Thailand in the Women's Asia Cup opener on Sunday. The Delhi batter scored 22 runs off 18 balls at the top of the order alongside Smriti Mandhana.

Shafali Verma smashed 64 runs off 36 balls to help India reach 159 for nine. Deepti Sharma claimed three wickets without conceding a run in 1.1 overs, while Nandani Sharma also took three wickets. Thailand were dismissed for 65 in 16.1 overs.

Rawal made her international debut in 2024 and has already scored 1,000 ODI runs in 23 innings. Smriti Mandhana reached 10,756 international runs during the match to surpass Suzie Bates as the second-highest run-scorer in women's international cricket history.
