Josh Tongue ruled out of Australia ODI series
England lose fast bowler to injury days before Australia ODI series begins.
England fast bowler Josh Tongue was ruled out of the ODI series in Australia due to a toe injury. England Cricket confirmed the withdrawal on its official X account.
Tongue will return to the UK for further assessment. No replacement has been named for the tour. The ODI series against Australia is scheduled from 13-18 November.
Tongue made his ODI debut against India in Birmingham this year. Jamie Overton remains in the squad as cover for the injured Tongue. Adil Rashid starred in a warm-up win before the tour.

England's decision to retain Jamie Overton as cover rather than name an immediate replacement suggests they are monitoring Tongue's condition before committing to a permanent change in the squad.
