BCCI to review injury management after Sri Lanka Tests

The BCCI will evaluate injury management and support staff performance after India's Test series against Sri Lanka concludes.

The BCCI will look at the team's injury record once the Sri Lanka series ends. Kamlesh Jain, who replaced Nitin Patel in 2022, will come under scrutiny along with team doctor Dr Rizwan Khan. India have carried several injuries into recent matches.

Jasprit Bumrah joins Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar on the list. Captain Shubman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir already flagged the issue after the England white-ball tour, where they played without several first-choice players. The discussions then were frequent and direct.

Changes at the top of the medical setup are now a possibility.

CricHubb Take

If the BCCI moves on Jain and Khan, the next question is whether the replacements will actually get more say over workload decisions or simply inherit the same schedule constraints.
