Shaun Tait begins second stint as Pakistan bowling coach
Shaun Tait returns as Pakistan bowling coach ahead of Sri Lanka T20I series, replacing Ashley Noffke who left to become Netherlands head coach.
Pakistan's newly appointed bowling coach Shaun Tait has joined the national team in Islamabad ahead of the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, which begins on Friday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board appointed Tait on Monday as the replacement for former Australia cricketer Ashley Noffke.
Noffke stepped down as Pakistan's white-ball bowling coach after serving in the role for approximately 16 months and was approached by the Netherlands for their head coach position. Tait previously served as Pakistan's full-time bowling coach from March 2022 until January 2023.
The 43-year-old represented Australia in three Tests, 35 ODIs and 21 T20Is. The three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the opening match scheduled for October 9.

Tait's return brings continuity to a pace attack that reached the Asian Games final under his previous tenure. His familiarity with the current group may help Pakistan integrate younger quicks ahead of the 2028 T20 World Cup cycle.
