Issy Wong took a career-best five for 33 as England beat Ireland by six wickets in the second women's one-day international at Derby on Thursday. The seamer was handed the new ball in the absence of Lauren Bell and bowled with accuracy and control.

Wong dismissed Ireland captain Gaby Lewis and then ran through the lower-middle order to set up victory with 27 overs to spare. England sealed the three-match series with a game remaining.

The win gives England a clean sweep heading into the final ODI. Wong's five-wicket haul is her first at international level.

Wong's performance strengthens her case for a longer run at the top of England's seam attack when Lauren Bell returns from injury.
