Pakistan has released seven players from its squad in England and appointed Mike Hesson as interim Test coach. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul have stepped down from their coaching roles.
Five uncapped players have been added to the squad for the third Test at Edgbaston. Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal are among those called up.
Pakistan trails 0-2 in the series and needs to avoid a clean sweep. Hesson will oversee preparations for the final match starting September 4.
