India under-19 took a 55-run lead over Australia under-19 after the second day of the second Youth Test in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Australia under-19 reached 86 for four at stumps, still needing 55 more runs to avoid an innings defeat. Tanmay Baloda took 4 for 26 to add to his first-innings haul and finish with match figures of 10 for.

India under-19 were bowled out for 315 after taking a 141-run first-innings lead. Abhiprai Biswas scored 73 and Yashbardhan Chauhan made 52. Australia leg-spinner Spencer Green took 7 for 110, including three wickets in the morning session.

Baloda's second-innings spell reduced Australia under-19 from 44 for one to 86 for four. The third day begins on Wednesday.

Baloda's 10 wickets across both innings show that wrist-spin remains a decisive factor in Youth Tests when pitches offer grip and the opposition lacks experience against turn.
