Delhi Capitals signed 15-year-old Karnataka all-rounder Uma Kashvi for her base price of 10 lakh rupees at the WPL mini-auction in Kochi. Kashvi, a right-handed batter and off-spinner, becomes the youngest player any franchise has purchased in the league's history. She has already represented India Under-19 and scored an unbeaten 217 in a junior inter-school tournament at the age of 12.

Delhi Capitals also secured Kiran Navgire for 75 lakh rupees, while Kirstie Gordon and Nazma Khan were bought for 10 lakh rupees each. The franchise spent 1.05 crore rupees at the auction and now has a 17-member squad with a total spend of 14.95 crore rupees.

Kashvi is expected to miss the 2027 WPL season because she will be participating in the Under-19 World Cup. Deeya Yadav previously held the record as the youngest player sold at a WPL auction at 16 years old.
