Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz said losing the Asian Games gold-medal match against India still haunts him. Nawaz scored 96 in the final but Pakistan fell short by 19 runs while chasing 212.

Nawaz told reporters in Rawalpindi that small mistakes in the run chase proved costly. He said he had planned to bat through the innings but the middle overs left Pakistan short of the required rate.

Nawaz said he gained confidence from performing against the number one team in the world. He added that Pakistan will try not to repeat the same mistakes when they face India again in future matches.
