India Women beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the third and final ODI in Vadodara on Wednesday to complete a 3-0 series sweep. Vaishnavi Sharma took five wickets as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 131 in 39.5 overs at Kotambi Stadium. Sayali Satghare and Kranti Gaud each claimed two wickets.

Pratika Rawal remained unbeaten on 59 and Shafali Verma remained unbeaten on 51 after the pair added an unbroken 74-run partnership for the third wicket. India reached their target with eight wickets in hand and 33 overs to spare. Yastika Bhatia was dismissed for a duck in the first over of the chase.

India Women had already swept the preceding three-match T20I series 3-0. The clean sweep gives the hosts maximum points from their home limited-overs programme against Zimbabwe.

CricHubb Take

The eight-wicket margin and the speed of the chase underline how wide the gap remains between the two sides. India's middle order now has two set batters in form heading into the next assignment, while Zimbabwe's top order has yet to post a competitive total in any of the six matches played on this tour.
