ECB schedules concurrent men's and women's Ashes for 2027
The ECB announced England's 2027 home season featuring concurrent men's and women's Ashes series plus ODIs against Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The England and Wales Cricket Board has released its 2027 home schedule, with the men's and women's Ashes series against Australia set to run at the same time. The summer programme also includes one-day internationals against Pakistan and Bangladesh, stretching from May to September.
The decision to stage the two Ashes contests concurrently marks a departure from previous practice, when the men's and women's series were held separately. The ECB said the arrangement aims to give both teams equal prominence while managing the demands on grounds and broadcast windows.
Fixtures will be confirmed later this year. The board has indicated that venues and match timings will be coordinated to avoid clashes between the men's and women's fixtures.
