Auqib Nabi claimed his first County Championship wicket on Day 2 at The Oval. The 26-year-old, signed for 2026 after strong domestic seasons in India, had never played first-class cricket outside the country before this.

He struck again later that day, the ball knocking back the stumps. Surrey were already on top on a wearing pitch, and Nabi's breakthroughs kept the pressure on Yorkshire.
