India-West Indies T20I series ends 2-2 after rain washes out Bengaluru decider
Persistent rain ended the series decider after 7.4 overs, leaving both teams with two wins each.
India and West Indies drew their five-match T20I series 2-2 after rain forced the abandonment of the fifth and final match in Bengaluru. The game was reduced to nine overs per side before being called off at 7.4 overs with India on 118 for 5.
Ishan Kishan scored 30 off 10 balls and Naman Dhir made 24 off 6 before the match was stopped. West Indies did not get a chance to bat. Shreyas Iyer led India after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was added to the squad after Arshdeep Singh sustained a shoulder injury in the fourth T20I. The series marked India's first home T20I matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium since October 2024. India had won the first and third matches while West Indies won in Ranchi and Hyderabad.
