Michael Bracewell said New Zealand had pushed India close in both matches but had not been clinical enough in key moments.

New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell said India have put his side under pressure in the death overs during the first two T20Is of the series. He spoke at a pre-match press conference in Wellington on Monday ahead of the third match on Tuesday.

Bracewell said New Zealand had been in the game for long periods but had not been clinical in key moments. He cited Naman Dhir's six off him in the second T20I as one example of fine margins that had gone India's way. The spinner added that the hosts needed to do the good things for longer.

The third T20I will be played at Basin Reserve. India lead the five-match series 2-0.

CricHubb Take

New Zealand's willingness to acknowledge specific turning points rather than blanket praise for their effort suggests they see a clear tactical fix rather than a broader execution issue.
