Babar Azam registers for ILT20 2026/27 auction at $80,000 base
Babar Azam joins over 200 players in the October 1 ILT20 auction as franchises prepare squads for the November season start.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam entered the DP World ILT20 Season 5 player auction pool scheduled for October 1 in Dubai at the highest base price of $80,000. More than 200 players from 23 countries will be available across three price brackets. MI Emirates hold the largest purse at $1.39 million followed by Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at $1.365 million. Each franchise must finish with 18 to 23 players including minimum quotas for Full Member, UAE, Afghanistan and Associate nation players. The season runs from November 21 to December 20 across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah venues. Franchises may sign one wildcard player after the auction for up to $250,000.
