Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of South Africa's ODI series against Australia after suffering a Grade-3 tear to his right hamstring. The 31-year-old fast bowler is expected to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
Rabada suffered the injury during winter training. He is in a race against time to be fit for the three-Test series that follows the ODIs.
South Africa, the reigning World Test champions, face a busy home summer that also includes three Tests against Bangladesh and three against England. Gerald Coetzee and Corbin Bosch are expected to take on additional bowling duties in his absence.
