Both teams sanctioned after India fell four overs short and West Indies two overs behind the required rate.
India and West Indies were fined for slow over-rates after the third ODI at New Chandigarh on Saturday. India were four overs behind the required rate and received a 20 per cent deduction; West Indies were two overs short and fined 10 per cent. Match referee Prakash Bhatt imposed the penalties after both captains accepted the charges.
On-field umpires Jayaraman Madanagopal and Sam Nogajski, third umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid and fourth umpire Virender Sharma reported the offences. No formal hearings were required under Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
India won the three-match series 2-1. The first of five T20Is between the sides begins in Lucknow on Tuesday. West Indies have added Amit Jangoo to their squad as cover for injured wicketkeeper Jewel Andrew.
