Pakistan Champions withdraw from World Championship of Legends Season 3

Pakistan Champions exit WCL Season 3 after PCB withholds NOCs over unresolved dispute from previous edition.

Pakistan Champions have withdrawn from the World Championship of Legends Season 3 after the Pakistan Cricket Board refused to issue the required No-Objection Certificates to their players. The team had been in discussions with the PCB following owner Kamil Khan's request for reconsideration.

The withdrawal follows a dispute stemming from last year's edition, when India Champions declined to play their scheduled matches against Pakistan Champions. The PCB had demanded a written apology from Indian players and assurances regarding handshakes between the teams, conditions that WCL organisers rejected.

Pakistan Champions were runners-up in the previous two editions of the tournament. The scheduled India-Pakistan match on October 10 will not take place, and the tournament will continue with six teams.

The withdrawal formalises a pattern where political tensions between the boards now extend beyond bilateral series into privately run leagues that were supposed to operate outside official control.
