Tamil Nadu will begin their 2026-27 Ranji Trophy preparations with a pre-season camp starting on 3 September in Chennai. The state association has appointed a new head coach and expanded the probables group for the upcoming season. Several structural changes have been implemented at the TNCA ahead of the domestic campaign.
The pre-season camp will focus on fitness and skill development for the expanded squad. Tamil Nadu have made significant changes to their coaching and support staff. The association aims to improve their performance in the Ranji Trophy after recent seasons.
The camp will run for several days before the domestic season begins in October. Tamil Nadu will play their opening Ranji Trophy match against a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent. The structural changes at TNCA include modifications to player selection and training protocols.
