India will field 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the second T20I against New Zealand at Hagley Oval on Saturday after Ishan Kishan was ruled out with an injury. Sooryavanshi last played for India in the Asian Games gold medal match.

The second T20I starts at 12:30 PM IST and will be broadcast on Sony Sports channels with streaming on Sony LIV. India won the first match by four wickets after chasing 226.

Sooryavanshi is expected to bat in the top order. The match will mark India's 300th T20I, making them the second team after Pakistan to reach that milestone.

CricHubb Take

Sooryavanshi's inclusion is the first real test of whether India's middle order can absorb a genuine power-hitting prospect without compromising the balance that delivered the record chase in game one.
