Jain's seven-wicket haul gives Madhya Pradesh early advantage in Ranji Trophy fixture.
Madhya Pradesh spinner Saransh Jain claimed career-best figures of 7 for 40 against Bihar in the Ranji Trophy on Monday. His spell helped bowl Bihar out for 99 in the third round of fixtures.
Jain made his Test debut for India against Sri Lanka in Colombo between August 23 and 27, taking three wickets in his only international appearance so far. The 33-year-old has now played 59 first-class matches for Madhya Pradesh.
Across those matches he has collected 195 wickets at an average of 28.23. Jain's performance comes days after returning from the national squad.
