Harris tipped to be most expensive at WPL 2027 auction

Aakash Chopra believes Grace Harris will command the highest bid at the upcoming WPL auction given her all-round abilities and limited player availability.

Grace Harris could fetch the biggest bid at the Women's Premier League 2027 auction, says former India cricketer Aakash Chopra. The Australian all-rounder is a free agent after RCB released her and has set her base price at Rs 30 lakh.

Chopra points to Harris's explosive batting and useful bowling as the reasons she's likely to break the bank. UP Warriorz hold the fattest purse at Rs 3.75 crore and may drive the price if they chase the 33-year-old they once owned.

Harris has scored 818 runs in 31 WPL matches at a strike rate of 149.54, with five half-centuries, and she has also taken 15 wickets, the best of them 4/15. The auction is set for October 28, 2026, in Kochi.
