BCCI says Pakistan do not offer much competition anymore after Asian Games gold win
BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Pakistan do not offer much competition anymore after India's Asian Games gold medal win.
BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Pakistan do not offer much competition anymore after India's 19-run win in the Asian Games final. Manhas described India's performance as commendable and labelled the team the best in the tournament by a considerable distance.
Manhas praised Tilak Varma's batting and Abhishek Sharma's role in setting the tone for the innings. He said the openers' job is to build the innings while the middle order finishes it. Manhas also commended the bowling unit for defending a good total.
The win marked India's second successive Asian Games gold medal in men's cricket. The victory gave India their 19th gold medal of the ongoing edition and moved them to fourth in the overall standings.

Manhas's public assessment that Pakistan no longer offer serious competition reflects the BCCI's confidence in India's T20I dominance but risks underestimating Pakistan's capacity for occasional upsets in high-stakes matches.
