Allen, Ferguson, Seifert picked for India ODIs as Ravindra returns
New Zealand named a split ODI squad with Ravindra returning from injury and Allen, Seifert joining for the final two matches against India.
New Zealand picked a split squad for the five-match ODI series against India because some players head to Wellington after the third ODI to prepare for the Tests. Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert come in for the last two matches after they prioritised T20 leagues.
Rachin Ravindra returns from a shoulder injury for the first three ODIs. Mitchell Santner leads a group that also includes Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Nathan Smith, Will Young and Blair Tickner.
The series starts on 4 November in Auckland and forms part of both teams' preparation for the 2027 World Cup.

Splitting the squad now might give New Zealand an edge when they face India again at the 2027 World Cup, but it risks leaving the ODI side undercooked if T20 commitments keep pulling players away.
