Bangladesh Under-19 team's Oman tour postponed over visa delay

Bangladesh Under-19 team's five-match Youth ODI series in Oman has been postponed due to visa delays.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has postponed the Under-19 team's departure for Oman after delays in visa issuance. The junior side was due to play a five-match Youth ODI series against Afghanistan starting October 13 at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board, which is hosting the series, informed the BCB that it is awaiting approval from Omani authorities. The visa process began in early September and remains outside the BCB's control.

The 15-member squad, led by captain Farid Hasan Faysal, remains ready to travel once visas are issued. The team is also scheduled to return to Oman in November for the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.

The delay pushes the Under-19s into a tighter window before the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup — they now face a scramble to fit in any warm-up matches between their late Oman arrival and the November 5 start.
