BCCI president Mithun Manhas calls for district grounds in J&K
Manhas said J&K districts require new grounds to widen talent scouting beyond the two main cities.
BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Jammu and Kashmir districts need new cricket grounds to expand talent identification beyond Srinagar and Jammu. Manhas, born in Jammu and a former J&K player, spoke after the Irani Cup match at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium. He praised Auqib Nabi's rise from Baramulla to the India side and said JKCA plans include stadiums in multiple districts within the next year.

Manhas's comments carry weight because he knows the JKCA system from both sides of the boundary rope, yet the one-year timeline for new district grounds remains an untested promise.
