West Indies add Amir Jangoo to T20I squad after Jewel Andrew injury
West Indies have added Amir Jangoo to their T20I squad as cover for injured wicketkeeper Jewel Andrew, who hurt his finger in the third ODI.
West Indies have added wicketkeeper-batter Amir Jangoo to their T20I squad for the five-match series against India as cover for Jewel Andrew, who sustained a finger injury during the third ODI in New Chandigarh on Saturday. Andrew was hurt while completing the catch of Naman Dhir off left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie on the final ball of the 36th over and was taken to hospital for an X-ray. Cricket West Indies said Andrew remains under assessment by the medical team. The 29-year-old Jangoo has played seven T20Is since his debut in December 2024, scoring 163 runs at a strike rate of 120.74. He scored 58 not out, 114 and 67 in the ODI series to finish with 239 runs, third-highest across both teams. The first T20I will be played in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Jangoo's strong ODI form against India suggests he could challenge for a starting spot if Andrew's recovery takes longer than expected.
