BCCI explores England county stint for Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi

The BCCI is considering an England county stint for Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi ahead of India's New Zealand tour.

The BCCI is exploring a plan to send Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi on a county cricket stint in England before India's tour of New Zealand. The move would give the 22-year-old overseas match experience ahead of the three-Test series.

DNA India and India Today reported that the board wants to accelerate Nabi's development after his domestic performances. The pacer has taken 47 wickets at 21.4 in the Ranji Trophy this season.

County exposure would place him in conditions similar to New Zealand. The board has not confirmed the county or the duration of the proposed stint.

The proposed stint shows the board now views county cricket as a structured development tool rather than an optional extra for fringe pacers.
