Sourav Ganguly rejected conflict of interest concerns after being appointed Delhi Capitals head coach for IPL 2027 while serving as Cricket Association of Bengal president. He said an order from the BCCI ombudsman allows him to hold both positions. Ganguly previously worked with the franchise as advisor and director of cricket. He will also coach Pretoria Capitals in the SA20.

Ganguly's return completes a full circle. He advised the franchise in 2019, directed it in 2023, and now coaches it in 2027. The question is whether the job has changed more than the man.
