Sydney Thunder sign Will Salzmann on one-year BBL deal
Will Salzmann returns to Sydney Thunder ahead of BBL|16 after strong domestic form.
Sydney Thunder signed all-rounder Will Salzmann on a one-year contract for BBL|16. The 22-year-old returns to the franchise after featuring in their BBL|13 squad.
Salzmann earned player-of-the-match honours in New South Wales' recent One-Day Cup win over Queensland, scoring 70 off 65 balls. He made his first-class debut in October 2025 and has since established himself across formats for the Blues.
General manager Trent Copeland said the club had long identified Salzmann as a domestic all-rounder worth developing alongside overseas signings Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson.
