An ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal banned USA cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy from all forms of cricket for eight years after he encouraged others to engage in fixing during the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 League. He also obstructed the investigation that followed.
The tribunal imposed the maximum available penalty. Reddy won't be eligible to play again until 2034.
It's the latest corruption case to hit the T10 circuit, where shorter formats and tighter schedules have historically made players vulnerable to approaches. The ICC's willingness to go to the limit on obstruction charges suggests the body sees cover-ups as threats that rival the fixing itself.
