Punam Raut retires from all forms of international cricket
Raut ends a 12-year career after playing four Tests, 73 ODIs and 35 T20Is for India between 2009 and 2021.
Punam Raut announced her retirement from all forms of international cricket on Thursday. The 37-year-old, who last represented India in 2021, made the decision public through an Instagram post.
Raut played four Tests, 73 ODIs and 35 T20Is between 2009 and 2021. She scored 2,299 runs in ODIs at an average of 34.83, 719 runs in T20Is and 264 runs in Tests. Her career included four centuries and 19 half-centuries.
Raut featured in three ODI World Cups and four T20 World Cups. She scored 381 runs in the 2017 ODI World Cup, including 86 in the final against England at Lord's, and formed a record 320-run opening stand with Deepti Sharma against Ireland. She thanked the Mumbai Cricket Association for supporting her early development.

Raut's departure removes one of the few players who combined Test and limited-overs experience from the 2017 World Cup cycle, leaving the next generation without a direct link to that squad's methods.
