Pakistan on Tuesday named a 15-member squad to defend their U-19 Asia Cup title in Oman from November 5 to 14. Farhan Yousuf will captain the side, with the squad scheduled to depart Karachi on October 29. The PCB confirmed the list after the team completed a 3-1 Youth ODI series win over England in September.

Pakistan will face UAE on November 6, India on November 9 and Nepal on November 10 in Group A. The squad includes two wicket-keeper-batters in Abdul Qadir and Hamza Zahoor, while the pace attack features Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Seyam, Ali Raza and Rizwanullah. Mohammad Huzaifa and Niqab Shafiq are the frontline spinners.

Shahid Anwar will serve as head coach and team manager, with Rao Iftikhar Anjum handling fast bowling, Zohaib Khan the spin bowling and Humayun Farhat the fielding duties.

CricHubb Take

Only two new faces from the England series squad suggest Pakistan value continuity over experimentation, a pattern that has produced three consecutive Asia Cup titles at this level.
