Royal Challengers Bengaluru released Australian batter Grace Harris and England left-arm spinner Linsey Smith ahead of the Women's Premier League 2027 auction. RCB also let go of D Hemalatha and Gautami Naik. The franchise retained Ellyse Perry, who confirmed her availability for the January 14 start.

UP Warriorz released the most players, nine in total, including Deandra Dottin and Chloe Tryon. The team enters the auction with the biggest purse at INR 3.65 crore. Delhi Capitals released leg-spinner Alana King among six players, while Mumbai Indians released G Kamalini and Saika Ishaque.

BCCI confirmed that 27 slots remain available, including seven overseas slots. The auction will be held in Kochi on October 28.

CricHubb Take

Harris's release signals a shift in RCB's overseas strategy. With Perry back, the franchise is prioritising all-round depth over pure power-hitting.
