The BCCI announced the schedule for the upcoming IPL playoffs and final on Wednesday. Vadodara and Mumbai will each host 11 matches. Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai will stage the playoffs and the final.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will open the tournament as defending champions. The first match will take place at one of the two venues.
The schedule release confirms the two-city format for the knockout stage.
CricHubb Take
Hosting the playoffs and final in two cities spreads revenue and reduces weather risk, yet it also concentrates high-value matches in just two markets.
