Eric Simons joins England as Test bowling coach
Former South Africa head coach Eric Simons will join Stephen Fleming's England Test setup as bowling coach from December.
England are set to add Eric Simons to Stephen Fleming's backroom team as Test bowling coach. The former South Africa head coach has worked alongside Fleming in the IPL with Chennai Super Kings.
Simons' appointment will be confirmed on Monday when England announce the latest round of central contracts. Fleming is assembling a backroom team for his first series in charge, against South Africa in December.
England have split head-coaching responsibilities across formats, with Fleming leading the Test side and Brendon McCullum handling the white-ball teams.

Simons' appointment completes a coaching loop that began when Fleming first worked with him at Chennai Super Kings. The South African's return to an England setup that has cycled through multiple fast-bowling consultants signals a preference for continuity over reinvention.
