UP Warriorz dominated the WPL 2027 mini-auction in Kochi on October 28 by securing four players including Sophie Molineux for ₹1.10 crore. The franchise also bought Sneh Rana and Sushma Verma for ₹30 lakh each, filling all eight of its vacancies. Sophie Molineux was the most expensive player sold in the auction.

Delhi Capitals paid ₹75 lakh for Kiran Navgire while Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured Jess Jonassen for ₹40 lakh and Tejal Hasabnis for ₹30 lakh. Twenty-four players were sold and 28 remained unsold from the 146 listed.

BCCI plans to increase the number of WPL teams from 2028. Teams had already retained 63 players before the sale, which offered 20 Indian and seven overseas slots.
