Australia bowl, McGrath replaces injured Litchfield
Australia win the toss and bowl with McGrath replacing injured Litchfield as New Zealand begin post-retirement era.
Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first in the opening ODI against New Zealand. Tahlia McGrath stepped into the side for the injured Phoebe Litchfield.
New Zealand are without Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and Lea Tahuhu, all three having retired from the format. This is the first time the two teams have met in ODIs since those exits.
Both sides are using the three-match series to shape their squads for the Women's ODI World Cup later this year.

New Zealand's rebuilding side has the chance to test combinations under real pressure, but the series also gives Australia a clear window to exploit inexperience before the World Cup arrives.
