Aya Stafford, Orla Prendergast and Catherine White could make their debuts for Brisbane Heat in the WBBL 2026-27 season. Stafford, 16, replaces leg-spinner Grace Parsons, who has a back injury. The Japan international has played 10 T20Is and represented Australia Under-19, taking four wickets for 25 and two for 34 in her Queensland debut.

Orla Prendergast is an Irish international all-rounder while Catherine White, 19, is a pace bowler from Sunshine Coast. Yastika Bhatia will join the Heat squad in Sydney on Saturday.

The match will be shown on Channel 7 and FOX SPORTS. Stafford's selection adds to the growing trend of young players breaking into WBBL squads this season.
