Sussex appoint Mark Robinson as part-time director of cricket
Robinson returns to Sussex as part-time director of cricket alongside new head coach.
Mark Robinson was appointed Sussex director of cricket on a part-time basis. The 59-year-old will combine the role with his ongoing position at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy. Robinson joined Sussex as a player in 1997 and guided the club to County Championship titles in 2006 and 2007.
Robinson previously led England Women to World Cup success in 2017 and Warwickshire to two titles in 2021. Matt Walker was appointed head coach of the Sussex first team. Beth Barrett-Wild was named the new chief executive and will take over on January 1 2027, replacing interim chief executive Alex Paterson.
The club has not announced further changes to its coaching or administrative structure.

The part-time arrangement suggests Sussex are prioritising continuity and cost control while betting that Robinson's experience can stabilise a side that has fluctuated between divisions in recent years.
