Sydney Sixers defeated Melbourne Stars by one run at Junction Oval on November 6. Sixers finished on 160 for 5. Stars reached 159 for 7.

Ellyse Perry scored 84 off 57 balls for Sixers on her 36th birthday. Sarah Coyte took one wicket for 27 runs in three overs and conceded six runs while taking a wicket in the final over. Stars needed 11 runs from the last over with four wickets in hand. Dani Gibson scored 31 off 20 balls for Stars.

Sixers improved to a 3-0 record. Stars stand at one win and three losses. Coyte had hit a boundary off the final ball to win against Brisbane Heat a week earlier.

CricHubb Take

Coyte's back-to-back final-over heroics show how death bowling remains decisive even in high-scoring women's T20 matches. Her variations under pressure have become a repeatable template for other teams.
