BCCI begins IPL Governing Council election process
Arun Singh Dhumal likely to return unopposed as IPL Governing Council chairman.
The BCCI has opened nominations for two spots on the IPL Governing Council. Arun Singh Dhumal and Khairul Jamal Majumdar look set to keep their posts as chairman and member, with no rival candidates in sight.
The council runs the league's commercial deals and day-to-day operations. Because no one else has stepped forward, the re-election will sail through and give the same team another term before the 2026 season.
CricHubb Take
Keeping the same two administrators in place means the decisions on how money is split and how the fixture list is drawn will stay with the current group — at least until the next broadcast-rights auction forces everyone back to the table.
