Delhi Capitals announced the appointment of Amit Mishra as their spin-bowling coach for the 2027 IPL season on Wednesday. The 43-year-old played 99 matches for the franchise across two stints and remains the team's all-time leading wicket-taker with 106 scalps.
Mishra joins head coach Sourav Ganguly, assistant and batting coach Yuvraj Singh, and fast-bowling coach Chaminda Vaas. He retired from all forms of cricket in September 2025 and will work with the franchise's young spinners ahead of the December auction.
Delhi Capitals finished sixth in IPL 2026 and have never won the title. Mishra said he was returning to the franchise where his IPL journey began in 2008.
