Australia retain Rose Bowl after Sydney T20I washed out
Australia keep Rose Bowl after Sydney T20I abandoned with just 2.4 overs possible.
Australia retained the Rose Bowl after the third T20I against New Zealand was abandoned due to rain with only 16 balls completed. The match at North Sydney Oval ended after New Zealand reached 11 for two in a rain-shortened 14-over contest.
Australia had already secured a 2-0 series lead. Ashleigh Gardner scored 84 from 45 balls in the second match, while Georgia Wareham took three for 18. Australia won the opening game by two wickets.
The teams will meet again in a three-match ODI series in Canberra and Melbourne in March. Australia's top players will feature in the WBBL, which starts in Melbourne on October 29.

The Rose Bowl's 26-year hold shows how rarely New Zealand convert their domestic depth into consistent trans-Tasman results. March's ODI series gives them another window before the next T20 cycle.
