BCCI president Mithun Manhas says selection for the 2027 ODI World Cup hinges on fitness and performance, not age. He spoke to Sportstar.

Manhas added that Kohli and Rohit can ease Shubman Gill's move into leadership, and their presence with Jasprit Bumrah spreads the load across batting, bowling and fielding.

India start a five-match T20I series in New Zealand on Thursday, followed by five ODIs and two Tests.
