The BCCI discussed injury comeback protocols at the Centre of Excellence during its review meeting in Mumbai. Players including Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar face fitness tests before the Afghanistan T20I series.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board follows established procedures when players return from injury. The meeting also addressed the packed schedule and its impact on player fitness.

The board plans to build more rest periods into future tours to reduce the risk of recurring injuries.
