PCB probes Imam-ul-Haq over injury as batter considers legal counsel

PCB investigates Imam-ul-Haq's injury; batter may seek legal advice amid mounting scrutiny.

CricHubb2 Sept 2026

The Pakistan Cricket Board has opened an inquiry into Imam-ul-Haq's injury after the opener sat out both innings of the second Test against England. Aaqib Javed flagged the issue and said the matter would be looked into.

Imam-ul-Haq plans to bring in lawyers to defend himself. The probe adds to the string of player-management problems the board is already facing.

It follows earlier reports that the PCB had weighed a ban after a 2025 investigation found he had faked an injury on a previous tour.

CricHubb Take

If the PCB now treats every injury doubt as a public spectacle, the next player with a genuine fitness scare will think twice before reporting it.
