Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel said the wind in Wellington will play a significant role in the third T20I against New Zealand on Tuesday. He described the conditions as a different challenge after two matches at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Morkel noted the wind shook his hotel building on Monday morning and said players must adapt quickly during limited training time.

Morkel said the wind could affect several aspects of play and added that bowlers would need to execute under difficult conditions. He stated that the team must view the situation as a challenge rather than a negative. Morkel also said the experience would help ahead of the Test series later at the same venue.

India lead the five-match series 2-0. The third T20I begins at 7 pm IST.

The wind forecast turns a routine dead-rubber into a genuine test of adaptability before the Test series begins at the same ground.
