Gujarat Giants signed 16-year-old Samaira Raghav for Rs 10 lakh at the WPL 2027 auction in Kochi on October 28, 2026. The youngster scored 162 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 216 in the U19 T20 Trophy before the auction.

Raghav said she would love to know what goes through Richa Ghosh's mind when hitting massive sixes. She named Pratika Rawal and Shweta Sehrawat as her greatest motivations and said she looks up to Smriti Mandhana for being calm and composed on the field.

Raghav said she looks up to Harmanpreet Kaur for her wealth of knowledge and Tanisha Singh among other players. She said she looks up to Ashleigh Gardner for her exceptional six-hitting ability and bowling performance and wants to learn about Gardner's daily routines and mindset. She said the Delhi Premier League gave younger players a platform to play with senior cricketers.
