Sahibzada Farhan replaced Salman Ali Agha as Pakistan's T20I captain after leading the side to silver at the Asian Games.
Pakistan appointed Sahibzada Farhan as T20I captain for the three-match series against Sri Lanka after he led the side to silver at the Asian Games. The PCB announced the squads on Monday, replacing previous T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha while retaining him in the ODI setup.
Farhan will lead a 15-member squad in Rawalpindi from October 9. Shaheen Shah Afridi continues as ODI captain for the upcoming tri-series that also involves England.
The T20I series begins on October 9 in Rawalpindi, followed by the seven-match ODI tri-series starting October 18.

The PCB is separating leadership roles across formats. Farhan's appointment signals a push for T20-specific tactics ahead of next year's T20 World Cup, while Shaheen retains the longer-format brief.
